    As a Work Planner / Maintenance Field Planner, you take care of and coordinate the preparation of a wide range of activities aimed at the maintenance of an installation. This maintenance is carried out by both in-house employees and contractors. The aim is to obtain effective and efficient pricing, material provision and execution planning. The work preparation consists of: time, costs, disciplines, materials, resources, auxiliary services, process plant-related actions and administrative securing in the systems. In doing so, you also ensure timely availability of external services, materials and resources. You plan and coordinate this yourself with the external firms.

    Your duties and responsibilities:

    • Check the information given for accuracy and completeness and you take action where necessary to improve it;
    • Assess the situation on site, in the context of the planned work and the impact on other jobs;
    • Responsible for substantive labour and financial preparation of work offered through SAP PM;
    • Indicates in a timely manner whether the desired lead time is achievable, and provides alternatives if it cannot be met or realised;
    • Prepare in SAP-PM bet help of task lists; possibly create, update task lists based on labour feedback;
    • securing relevant documents in SAP;
    • Estimating hours/ lead time, services and materials, preventing more/less work based on estimates and being able to provide estimates price quotes;
    • Requesting services and materials from Purchasing and co-assessing the quotation according to content and cost;
    • Proposing special safety requirements; drafting/creation of work permits;
    • Compiles the execution folder and hands it over to the execution responsible;
    • Takes care of the financial processing of the order, checking whether offers by the contractor comply with the contract in terms of content and price;
    • Financially evaluate contractors' bids with a commitment to continuous improvement in working with contractors;
    • Preparation of specifications for projects <50,KE and ensuring the preparation of budgets or counter calculations;
    • Provide support to operations and site improvement with budget preparation through budgeting;
    • Monitor budget during job creation and communicate in writing and verbally to budget manager in case of deviations;
    • Initiating and chairing state of designation of projects including reporting.

    The client has five major production sites in Europe, including one in Geleen at Chemelot industrial park. The other plant clusters are in Teesside (England), Gelsenkirchen (Germany), Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands) and Cartagena (Spain). There are also seven small production sites in Europe.

    The Geleen site currently employs 900 of its own staff.

    The Work Planner W/ Maintenance Fieldplanner falls under the Supervisor Planning & Scheduling, your team comprises 10 colleagues. The work area comprises 4 plants, which differ in technical and technological terms.

    • You have completed a course in the direction of work preparation such as Mechanical Engineering;
    • You have at least MBO+ working and thinking level;
    • You have knowledge of SAP-PM, calculation system PDM-Calc;
    • You have knowledge of work permits;
    • You have knowledge of the Do-Maintenance work process and related work processes;
    • You have safety in high regard;
    • You value quality and enjoy working together in a team;
    • You preferably have previous experience as a Work Planner in Process Engineering.
