    As a maintenance engineer at our client, you will be part of a team that keeps the machinery in top condition. With your technical knowledge, you are expected not only to keep the production process going, but also to constantly improve it.

    In this role, you will work independently or with colleagues on machines that are either experiencing problems or need maintenance. Looking for a fault or preventing a fault becomes your daily challenge.

    Your main duties and responsibilities:

    • Troubleshooting production machines and sometimes peripheral equipment such as pumps and extractors. In some cases, also devising in-house solutions to prevent breakdowns;
    • Perform preventive maintenance on production machines;
    • Repairing, machining and/or replacing parts in the workshop using various hand tools (such as screwdrivers, socket spanners, workbench, grinding lathe, milling machine, welding equipment) and measuring instruments (such as micrometers, calipers);
    • Transferring your knowledge and skills by providing training to production operators so that they too become capable of troubleshooting.

    Our client is a manufacturer in the food industry. They are based in Oss and over 350 colleagues work here, most of whom work in a five-shift operation. However, this position is for day shift.

    • You have a completed technical MBO education (at least level 3) possibly supplemented by knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
    • You have analytical skills;
